Toothbrush Painting

I am always looking for ways to reduce, reuse and recycle especially when it comes to children’s crafts. Used toothbrushes are great for cleaning but they also make perfect paint brushes. The kids absolutely loved painting with the toothbrushes and it meant we got a second use out of them before they get composted. We also used jars as paint pots for this activity. I love using items we already have rather than producing more waste that our environment doesn’t need.

Equipment:
– used toothbrushes
– paper
– paint
– jars

Method:
1. Pour paint into jars.
2. Place toothbrush in each jar.
3. Set up paper outside or on table and let the kids go for it.
