Symmetrical Drawings for Preschoolers

The kids have had colds this week so there has been no playgroup or kindergarten for us. This has meant a lot of time inside at home. My kids are still busy when they are sick so I had to think of some activities to keep them busy. Symmetrical pictures was a hit with Abigail. She did such a great job especially completing a difficult butterfly shape. She got to practice her pen control and do some mathematics at the same time.

Equipment:
– paper
– felts/pencils/crayons

Method:
1. Fold paper in half.
2. Draw half of a basic image.
3. Let your child complete the other half of the image.
